AU women capture NACC Indoor Championship in a blowoutPublished by
The Aurora University women's track and field team took home its second consecutive Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) indoor championship in astonishingly dominating fashion on Saturday, March 1 at Carthage College. The Spartans scored 298.5 points, more than 200 ahead of second-place Concordia-Wisconsin. They won every running event save the 5000 and a controversial disqualification in the 400, and won the high jump, pole vault, and triple jump. Many conferences have yet to complete their championship meet, but 298.5 may be the highest score in the NCAA this season-- a slightly arbitrary distinction as different conferences sponsor different amounts of events. The point total is certainly a NACC record. Read the full article at: athletics.aurora.edu
