The Aurora University women's track team placed seventh out of 19 teams at the 2016 Chicagoland Indoor Championships at North Central College. Sophomore Deterrica Simpkins had a record setting day in which she broke her own school record with a 7.77 second time in the 60 meter race, placing third in the meet. Deterrica also doubled back and ran an impressive time of 25.73 for the 200 meter race garnering another third place finish. Another great performance was by freshmen Jackie Schane placing fourth overall in the meet with a personal best of 10:24 in the 3,000 meter race.
